Tamper-resistant QR tokens

Offline-first inspections
Inspectors fill in checklists, take photos, and sign off — even on sites with no signal. Hovermarks queues every submission locally and syncs the moment connectivity returns. Photos auto-compress to ~300 KB so a 5-photo inspection sips bandwidth.

Tamper-evident audit log
Every meaningful action — sign-in, asset edit, inspection submit, certificate export — is recorded with actor, timestamp, and IP, on an append-only log searchable in-app.
Soft-delete + recycle bin
Deletes are soft for 30 days. Tenant admins can restore any asset, inspection, customer, or invoice from the recycle bin until the retention window closes. Hard-delete after that with a tamper-evident ledger entry recording the wipe.

One account, many organisations
A consultant or shared inspector can belong to several customer organisations on Hovermarks. Sign in once, pick the organisation you're working in from the org switcher, and Hovermarks issues a fresh tenant-scoped session — query filters guarantee you only see that org's data.
Microsoft sign-in with always-on MFA
Tenant isolation enforced via query filters scoped to the authenticated tenant claim. Every user signs in via Microsoft Entra External ID — Email/password as first factor, one-time code sent to the user's verified email as second. MFA enforced by Conditional Access on the Hovermarks identity tenant on every account, every plan. Enterprise customers can additionally federate to their own Entra tenant (OIDC + PKCE) and layer their own Conditional Access on top. API calls authenticated by signed JWTs with short expiry.
White-label customer portal
Share per-site compliance with landlords, customers, or insurers via magic-link — no login required, your brand on every page. Default 60-day expiry, tenant-configurable.
AI
Azure-native AI that augments inspectors and accelerates audit prep — opt-in per tenant with a hard monthly cost cap.

AI photo quality gate
Azure AI Vision flags low-light, blurry, or off-subject inspection photos so they don't slip into the certificate. Fails open: if the AI can't decide, the photo is accepted. Hard per-tenant monthly cost cap.

AI certificate text extraction
Drop a photo of a manufacturer's certificate or a third-party test report onto an asset. Azure AI Document Intelligence extracts the text; an Azure OpenAI gpt-4o-mini pass distils header, expiry, and holder fields. Saves typing for whoever's onboarding 100 fire extinguishers.

Voice-to-text inspection notes
Inspectors dictate notes hands-free while wearing safety gloves. Azure AI Speech transcribes; the text lands in the inspection's notes field, ready to edit. Locale-aware (en-GB by default; en-US support on the roadmap).

Xero accounting sync
OAuth 2 connection with auto-refreshing tokens. Hovermarks pushes every issued invoice to Xero with the same invoice number as an idempotency key — your accountant sees Hovermarks invoices alongside everything else, no double-entry. Available on Enterprise — talk to sales to enable.
Outbound webhooks
Subscribe Slack, Teams, or any HTTPS endpoint to events like inspection.failed or invoice.paid. Payloads HMAC-SHA256-signed with a per-subscription secret; SSRF-guarded against private and metadata IPs.
Public REST API
Per-tenant API keys, JWT-signed access, the same endpoints the dashboard uses. Pull asset registers, push inspection submissions, integrate with whatever's already in your stack. Swagger docs available under NDA today; public when the first integration partner ships.
