Most inspection apps from vendors we reviewed will happily produce an incomplete report. Hovermarks will not issue a LOLER report that is missing a particular the validator checks: it tells the examiner exactly what is missing, citing the Schedule item and where to set it. Since October 2026 that includes particular 4, the date of the last thorough examination, which is now recorded and checked. Declare equipment safe while a defect on record is classified as an existing or imminent danger to persons and the report is blocked, because a report cannot state something its own findings contradict.
